Since its creation more than 45 years ago, the Giovanni Lorenzini Medical Science Foundation has been establishing itself as an independent, objective observer and translator of the latest findings in the fields of evidence-based science and medicine – globally.

About us

The Giovanni Lorenzini Foundation consists of two not-for-profit scientific institutions based in Italy in Milan and in the United States in New York. Since 1969 it promotes the development and diffusion of biomedical, clinical and health economics knowledge in the field of translational medicine, both in Italy and abroad. The primary objective of the Foundation is to transfer the main acquisitions of the scientific research to the the health care providers and the community at large for the benefit of the public health. The Lorenzini Foundation has an internationally recognized role as an independent facilitator and promoter of effective prevention campaigns against diseases with a large social impact.

Luigi R Biasio has experience in the fields of vaccination, medical communication and health literacy. He is a professor and consultant in vaccinology and has led projects for the development and approval of new vaccines.

Maurizio Memo

Since 2001 Full Professor of Pharmacology of the University of Brescia. Author of over 300 scientific papers in full, author and editor of 4 monographs of Pharmacology and 4 patents. His activity has focused on neuropharmacology.

Giuseppe Novelli

Professor of Medical Genetics, University of Rome "Tor Vergata", of which he was Rector, Professor at the University of Nevada, Reno (USA) and Director of UOC Medical Genetics Laboratory, Policlinico Tor Vergata Rome. President of the Fondazione Giovanni Lorenzini (Italy)

Anna Odone

Associate Professor of Hygiene at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University of Milan. Graduated in Medicine and specialist in Hygiene, she is responsible for the Clinical Epidemiology and HTA Area of the IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital and Member of its Ethics Committee.

Sergio Pecorelli

Emeritus Professor of the University of Brescia, of which he was Rector from 2010 to 2016. Adjunct Professor at Yale Medical School (USA). President of the Giovanni Lorenzini Medical Foundation, New York. He was AIFA-Italian regulatory Agency President (2009-2015)
